When my colleague Louise told me she was getting advice on
the internet from someone called Bob, I thought she'd drank one too many
espressos.
When I asked what she was talking about, she explained that
she was using a website to help her with a particular database problem. I
decided to have a look for myself and discovered a site with a huge selection
of categories, from cooking advice to dating tips and homework help to travel recommendations.
They have ‘experts' - people who sign up and demonstrate their experience in a
particular topic - for almost everything.
So Louise has her ‘Bob', to give her database help and advice.
I've used a variety of forums and website on the internet for help with
programming, web design, car maintenance. One time I even successfully learned
out how to tie a tie in a Windsor
knot, when dressing up for a recent event!
Do you have a fountain of knowledge out there on the
internet? Tell us about how you've used the internet to help solve a problem or
to get advice in the related forum.
Our community is about sharing experiences, offering advice
and generally communicating with fellow users about Q-Pulse and compliance.
Maybe you can find your Q-Pulse ‘Bob' here on the Community or if you are a
fountain of compliance or Q-Pulse expertise, you could be someone else's ‘Bob'.
