The web interface
for Q-Pulse is a new feature in version 5.2. Basically, this gives users a web
based front end to the CA/PA, Audit and Escalation, which can be accessed via Internet Explorer rather than the Q-Pulse software. This has not been tested in Firefox or other browser as yet.
"What's
the point in that" I hear you ask... well it is very handy for occasional or
off-site users, as it allows them to access the aforementioned modules without
requiring an installation of Q-Pulse on their laptop. One example of its use is
for auditors, who would use the web interface to quickly access certain modules
on their own laptop. Of course, the auditor would need to have web access, for
example, through a wireless network.
The
web interface could also be a benefit to IT staff. The URL of the web interface
could simply be emailed to the required users instead of requiring an install
on several PCs, saving time and storage space.
