The new Reminder and
Escalation feature of version 5.2 introduces a better warning system for
forthcoming and overdue none-compliances, split into three categories:
Reminder, Overdue and Count. These look at future events, overdue (past) events
and the number of events respectively.
Reminder looks
ahead a pre-defined number of days for forthcoming events that meet a certain
criteria. You can set up how far ahead the reminder looks (for example, seven days)
and for what criteria it looks for (for example, audits or corrective actions).
This will alert pre-defined recipients of forthcoming events. For example, if there is an audit happening in
seven days time, a message is sent to the audit manager.
Overdue checks
for overdue non-compliances. If a certain event is a pre-defined number of days
(for example, 14 days) overdue, then a message will be sent to someone (who has
already been defined in the options). For example, if a non-compliance is 28
days overdue, a message is sent to a manager (who then might shout at someone
for allowing a certain action to be 28 days overdue!)
Count is where
Q-Pulse counts the number of certain things, such as non-compliances. If the
number counted is the same as the pre-defined value, an alert is sent to
someone (who has already been defined in the options). For example, if the
number of non-compliances reaches 50, a message is sent to the manager of that
department.
