We’re delighted to announce that Q-Pulse 5.7 is now available. Stay up to date and take advantage of the latest enhancements by upgrading to the latest version. The latest release of Q-Pulse is now even easier to use and introduces a range of enhancements as well as performance increases and defect fixes. Version 5.7 includes extended Web Service APIs and also coincides with the release of our Offline Occurrence Reporting product.

What’s New in 5.7?

There are a wide range of enhancements covering all of the Q-Pulse modules, included in the 5.7 release. Our range of blog articles cover the major themes of the new version, looking at the improved deployment and configuration, the improvements to the incident and occurrence process, how interaction with customers helped us develop and test enhancements for Q-Pulse 5.7 and the new packaging and documentation.

Here are some of the new features in Q-Pulse 5.7.

  • Improvements to Occurrence and Incident modules
  • Ability to surface Supplier & Customer contact and address (fields) details for CA/PA Letter Generation
  • The ability to re-assign Actions and Owners
  • Active Directory integration for Q-Pulse Security groups
  • Prompted LDAP server authentication. Authenticating against an LDAP server (prompted for network password)
  • Improved Audit interface
  • Secondary licences now include Incident permissions
  • Ability to allocate licences per database
  • Extended Web Service APIs
  • A range of performance increases and defect fixes

To demonstrate our commitment to developing for the latest technologies, we have renewed the “Compatible with Windows 7” and “Compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2” logos. Q-Pulse has been fully tested with the latest client and server technologies, including Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008.

How do I upgrade to Q-Pulse 5.7?

Customers with an active maintenance product licence are entitled to upgrade to Version 5.7 at no cost by completing our Upgrade form.

A conformation of request would be useful - my first request for 5.6 did not reach the destination.

We've simplified our own system for requests and you WILL get an email confirmation once we've processed your request.

That's great news guys - is there any chance that you could post the release notes on the community site alongside the 5.6 ones? It would great if we could review them before we physically get the software.

Is this version able to be installed on 64 bit clients?  Was 5.6.1 able to as well?

Have the managed lists been updated and improved so only selections relevant to the module or source is available rather than all.

Q-Pulse is compatible with 64 bit machines.  A 64bit executable file is available from support for Q-Pulse version 5.5.  If you are on 5.60, 5.61 or 5.7 then the same .exe file will work on both 64bit machines and 32bit.

No changes have beeb made to the managed lists so that only specific items will be available for selection. Most of the managed lists are only available within a specific module, however there are some overlaps (e.g. Department) and the full list of these will be available in all modules.

Is Q-Pulse 5.7 compatible wit MS SQL Server 2008 64bit? please reply.

Hi Masoor, Q-Pulse will run on SQL 2008 64bit.
