Almost a year after the publication of the Health Minister’s next stage review report, ‘High Quality Care for All’, Lord Darzi has said the impact of the report has “far exceeded” his expectations already.
A recent article in HSJ commented the buzzwords within the NHS are now ‘quality’, and ‘safety’, compared to five years ago when it was ‘payment by results’ or ‘foundation status’.
Delivering and demonstrating quality is now an everyday practice within the NHS. There are new pressures on every organisation, team, and individual, not only to measure, analyse and improve quality, but also to efficiently and accurately report on the processes and procedures for this.
