I've been discussing avatars for the Community with fellow members of staff. As this is a business forum, we are swaying towards narrowing our employees' avatar choices to: photos of themself or a character that represents themself, such as a WeeMee or similar.

What do you think?

Avatar suggestions

In another thread, I made a few suggestions about what you could use for your avatar.

You could:

• use a photo - could be of yourself, could be of somewhere you've been;
• use your company's logo;
• create a South Park style avatar: http://www.sp-studio.de/;
• create a Simpsons style avatar: http://www.simpsonsmovie.com/main.html  (click on "create your Simpsons avatar");
• create a "WeeMee": http://www.weeworld.com (I think you may have to sign up to get one);
• use a character from a film or TV show; or
  
• use a band or music artist you like.

Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions for fellow users' avatars?

We strongly discourage having any sporting logos (such as your favourite football team's badge), flags, political symbols, etc to avoid any potential cause of offence.
