Storing COSHH and Risk Assessments in QPulse (Pathology)

We are just starting out populating QPulse with SOPs, with a lot having associated Risk or COSHH assessments. One method we have found to store these types of documents is to upload them with the SOP so that the one record contains both (or all three) documents. Is anyone achieving this link between the documents in a different way? I know you can associate documents, but this would mean a separate record, document number and associated version control, distribution etc

We will probably use the same method for laboratory forms relating to an SOP rather than embedding them in the main SOP. This would hopefully make it easier to find them and print them off as required.

    Thanks for the post Path_Links,

this appears to be a Pathology (or Laboratory) specific use of Q-Pulse. Hopefully some other community users in the Pathology or Laboratory Accreditation field can provide some feedback.

We had a similar quandary but went with a separate record for the COSHH assessments and relating it to the SOP. It's probably swings and roundabouts for this but we can display all the COSHH's under a doc type, there are no direct references within the SOP, the related doc is easily accessed from the register and it's easy to see all relationships whether viewing the SOPS or COSHH list. If the COSHH is updated then there is only one doc to change whereas if it associated directly with multiple SOPS all docs will have to be changed. If the SOP changes then break and remake the relationship with the appropriate COSHH assessment.

    Please post your final solution.

we are planning to set the file structure in such a way that we associate the file in a particular area, e.g. pathology directorate policies in a folder with a number of different subfolder each relating to a particular issues e.g. risk assessment etc. We have discovered from version 4 that have massive documents is really laborious when a minor change is required. Hope this helps

    Hello

We have COSHH sheets and MDS and package inserts stored in a folder called external documents which I am slowly populating,

I am running these in addition to the SOPs and linking them in. WE are hoping to get the risk management module to help with this soon, but we have not had much info about what this does as yet.
