    Richard,

Thanks a lot for question. The feature requests are logged internally but are not currently published.

Publishing feature requests has been suggested to me previously and it's something I'm very keen to do. It's good for all of our users and will also cut down on duplicate suggestions. It's something I plan to introduce to the Community in the next few months, probably after the release of version 5.5, so that our design/development team have more time.

I'd love to see user suggestions being debated in our forums.

Hope this helps for the time being! idea

    Re: Fixes / Enhancements List

    Daniel,

I am quite upset by the reluctance of Gael not to share information regarding pending improvements. For instance, I spent a good two hours trying to sort out an issue in assets. The outcome of this resulted in support confirming it was a problem and I was given a reference number.

If this issue was published, it may save the next 10 companys 2 hours of their time each not having to go through the same routine when they come across it.

Forums are free and open area's for users. I could easily start a thread listing the fault/s and reference code/s my company has found so far to help other users, however I do not want to risk damaging our relationship with Gael or being banned from the Forum area.

I could go the other way, and send every single issue I find to Support straight away to fish around see if it has been logged, but I don't want to do this as I expect they are like me, very busy. I normally look into each issue very carefully to see if it is me or my users who are not using the software correctly. 9 times out of 10, this is the case and by doing this I save support time and effort.

Perhaps you can think about my points. I am happy to share my experiences with other users as I believe it saves everyone time, But it seems Gael would like to keep these errors internally.

I believe Q-Pulse 5 is a very good piece of software and I am sure all users will agree that all new software has its problems. It would give me a great deal of confidence going forwards if Gael would share this error list information ahead of the fixes. Time is money and any error found can help everyone to get around it until a fix is made.

If Gael decide not to share this information, what is the Forum policy on this kind of post?

My reply is meant only as a constructive discussion. I do not wish to make trouble.

    Best regards,

    Alex.

I fully agree with Alex. I spend quite some time investigating a problem before I contact support. Why do we need to wait for 5.5 to get the list of issues being worked on?

Have to say I agree with this. The support that is given by the helpdesk is excellent, but too many times, we have been hit with the 'this is an error we know about............'comment - after some considerable time spent (by both parties).

If we knew of the issues, in the public domain, we would be able to resolve these much quicker.

    Alex,

Thanks for the post; your point is valid and is something that's been raised on occasions via User Groups and Help Desk - you're certainly not "making trouble"!

To give you an insight into our plans, it is our intention to keep building on our communication channels and provide more information to users, in particular, on the Q-Pulse product . I can assure you it is not an unwillingness to communicate defects or enhancements to users, rather we have an internal challenge to 'join up' our current Development management supporting systems and processes to provide a user area where current information (known issues, status etc..) can be viewed with minimum administrative overhead whilst ensuring the integrity of the information provided. This is one of many goals for the Technical team and you should start to see improvements in this area by the end of the year.

Thanks again for your post and hopefully my reply goes some way to giving you a level of confidence that we are looking to improve in this area.
