User Defined Fields

    User Defined Fields

    While we continue to set up Q-Pulse 5.2 within our organisation, it is becoming clear that there are not sufficient 'User Defined Fields' available. Also, as their format is fixed, it is further restricting the flexibility of the system.

    Is there any way that this can be changed?

    Hello Ken, thanks for your post, unfortunately these user defined fields are hard coded into the system and our customers unfortunately, cannot change the field e.g. from a date field to a free text field, also it is not possible for our customers to create new fields as well.

     With this in mind can you please post in the Suggestions/Feature Request Forum (http://www.gaelcommunity.com/forums/29.aspx) details of what you would like included in the user defined fields or alternatively contact the support desk on 01355 593400 or email Support@gaelquality.com with the same details and we can log this as an enhancement request with the developers.

    I have configured QPulse to allow me to track not only batch numbers but also product serial numbers as well, so that i can cross reference a products history should it ever come back to me as an authorised return and can thus report on the number of instances. As batch/ lot and serial traceability is paramount within the aerospace industry, i would like to suggest future additions or upgrades to QPulse, to see the field for the LOT number included within the Batches section of the view/ edit properties. It would also be useful for the Batches section to contain a field for the serial number of a given item. (i will post this aslo within the forum for upgrades or enhancements).
