I found a
post on the MSN website discussing things that you should never scrimp on and things you should get for as cheap as possible. for? Have a read and share your opinions with us.
There's one school of thought that says you get what you pay for.
The other says that it's just plain stupid to pay through the nose for
something you can cheaper elsewhere.
Is there anything you would never pay over the odds for? Or is there something you would never scrimp on?
Personally, I agree with the meat, fish and eggs part. I also agre with the kitchen knives part, after treating myself to a decent set of knives at Christmas. Not sure about pots and pans - got a great Wok (with glass lid) from Ikea for £15 and it's as good, if not better than the Tefal one I have.
I don't agree with the wine comment, some of the cheap Aldi wine (a famously cheap local supermarket to those not in the UK) is great and costs no more than £3.50 - but perhaps that's my uneducated palette! Then again, I wouldn't be seen drinking the Tesco value lager...
What do you think?
