Thanks for the responses folks, your feedback is invaluable.
I'm involved with creating new courses for the Academy. The second phase of the Academy is due to be released early in July, and you'll be pleased to hear that there are several courses planned for the Audit module and a course specifically tailored towards web-based Q-Pulse users.
Arfan:I think training users on setting up Active and Static folders within
CA/PA would be useful. I've been on the training and still find these
a bit tricky!
Within the CA/PA module, you can quickly find and display records using either “My Searches” or “My Folders”.
When you carry out a search (either quick or advanced), you can save the search criteria by right-clicking in the My Searches section of the task pane. Next time you wish to carry out this search, rather than re-entering the criteria, you can just double click on the name of your search. You can also share this saved search with other users. This is called “Active”, because any new records which appear on the system will still be displayed by your saved search – providing the search criteria are met.
However, you can also use virtual folders to store similar records together. You can create a new folder by right-clicking in the My Folders section of the task pane. Once you have created the folder, you can drag-and-drop any relevant records from the list view into your folder. You can then view all the records in the folder by double-clicking the folder. Again, this folder can be shared with other users, and a record can be placed into more than one folder. This is called “Static”, because any new records which appear on the system will not appear in your folder unless you (or someone else you share the folder with) place it there.
This is also true for the Documents module
