There's been lots of chat in the office about concerts, gigs and festivals - a few members of staff are going to T in the Park on the weekend and have been to, or are going to, other festivals during the summer.

So tell us... what was the first gig you went to and where was it?

Me:

Band/Artist: The Eagles
Where: Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh
When: I think it was in 1996

Basically, my dad and 2 of his workmates were going, but when one of them pulled out at the last minute, I got to go. Memories of it are vague, but it was a good gig as far as I can remember.

First real concnert will have to be U2 (zooropa tour) at ASU stadium in Phoenix. What a great show.  Hooray for my first post!   I wont include the Tom Jones concnert my mother dragged me to when I was little.

Just kidding, I'd like to see U2 someday. My mates went to see them on the Elevation Tour in Glasgow, I was a bit annoyed I missed out!

 If you don't count Buck's Fizz at Butlins Ayr in about 1990 (which I don't), then it was Primal Scream at the Barrowlands in about 1996. 

TECHNICALLY it was East 17 at the Royal Concert Hall in 1996, and they wouldn't allow us to take in whistles, cameras or anything else that may drown out/put them off their music!!!!!!!!!  Oh the memories!
