Just a quick post to ask how you keep up to date with news that affects your business or industry? Do you subscribe to news feeds, email updates or blogs about quality or your industry? Do you get a trade magazine or something similar?

Why don't we all share our information resources to help each other? Let us know what you read and whether it's about general compliance or quality, or whether it's specific to your industry.

I currently use NewsNow to scan for articles and we use NewsPing as a company to scan news sites and blogs for key words - the results of which populate the Industry News section. I also get healthcare updates from Stuart Emslie's Healthcare Governance Review blog.

Member of Chartered Quality Institute ... and keen reader of "Quality World". Also attend West of Scotland (CQI) branch meetings held at Strathclyde University (in the evenings) each month over the winter. These are excellent and you don't have to be a member. Other than that you could do well getting into a network of quality managers from an allied business sector like Scottish Quality Managers Discussion Group formed to assist / support quality managers in compliance in Medical Laboratories.
