We've just got access to the Academy and I have been setting up some training plans. Fortunately, I don't have too many staff to sign up at the moment as I found it a bit awkward having to select each course for one person and then go back through the member selection screen and through to the required page for the next person, especially as most of the plans were very similar. I'd hate to be doing it for several hundred members!

Could you not set it up so that each organisation can set a default training plan which is picked up automatically for each new member?

Also speed of accessing courses seems very slow in the afternoons - is this just the internet being slow or is the Academy also "too" busy at some times?

Re: the training plans - that's a very good point. We hope to streamline the training plan feature of the site to make it quicker and easier to add groups of users to groups of courses. We are looking at several different ways of doing this, but we hope to start implementing this change after we have rolled out the second phase of the Academy (end of August / start of September).

We have also been looking at the issue of download speeds for the Academy. There are several different reasons why your courses could be running slowly. We are looking at changing the format of the quizzes which would not only reduce the size of each demo you download, but would also allow you to stream the content (i.e. you don't have to download the whole file before you can begin to watch it). Again, we will be looking more closely at this at the end of this month, and any changes or improvements will be communicated through the Community.
