Kindly let me know whether dynamic permissions associated with "Office Use only filed" in Occurrences module will be fixed in Qpulse 5.6 version of Qpulse. They are not working correctly in current version.

I have just read your blog posts on the update to v5.6 and there seems to be some very good improvements planned. The point which interests me the most is regarding the change to the license setup.
We currently have 10 power and and 100 resticted licenses. If we were to change over to the Primary/secondary model would this mean we would have 10 primary and 100 secondary licenses? Do you know when there will be definite information released on the functionality of the secondary licenses?

Hi Matthew,
You will be able to choose the number of secondary licences in the new version, no restriction or link to the previous number of restricted licenses.
What tasks do you have in mind for the secondary license users?

I was hoping that in 5.6 there would be the facility to upload for instance a customer database from excel into q-pulse instead of having to manually update everything at the moment.
Is this the case?

I'm the IT manager for a food ingredients manufacturer based in New Zealand with a factory here in NZ, a factory in the north of Belgium and sales offices in the UK, USA and Australia. As we're a small company staff numbers wise, we've centralized our IT systems where possible to New Zealand and deliver applications globally either by browser based interfaces or Citrix. In New Zealand we are still running on Q-Pulse 4.2, but have successfully installed v5.2 and migrated a copy of the data across for development and testing.
Currently Q-Pulse is only used in the New Zealand operation and we want to roll out the latest version to the users globally. Our concern with this is in dealing with multiple regions and time zones as we can't find anywhere that the Q-Pulse application deals with multiple geographies and time-zones.Is there anything in v5.6 that allows multi-nationals to operate on a single system.

At the moment there is no facility within V5 to simply import this type of data into your system, however we are currently working on tools that will allow integration with other 3rd party application via an API. The best thing to do would be to call me and we can have a chat about your specific requirements and better understand how we can assist.

I had requested the ability to add Customer Contact/Supplier as a dynamic recipient for Raised CA/PA
It doesn't appear that this has been included yet, unless I am misunderstanding the "Sneak Preview" of features?

In current version of Occurrence module (v 5.5), ability to save searches, nested views within the Occurrence module, ability to see and load views in the Occurrence module - is not available. Is this included in version 5.6. Pls let me know.

Hello Khaja, I have spoken with the development team and it has been confirmed that this enhancement request will not be included in v5.6 of QPulse. The enhancement has been logged and will be considered for inclusion in a future QPulse release.

How about indexing for People & Training?
Opening the Master Events list (& other tasks) is slower than for other modules & Recent Searches are not saved to the Launch Pad on shutdown, which makes me think Training tables are not as well indexed as in the other modules.
Did I remember right that 5.6 will allow the rollout of a standard user profile so we won't need to get users to customise Preferences, but can roll out a standard profile that includes all the wizards & templates we want?
Also wasn't there something about escalation of overdue actions by messaging in 5.6?

If you are suffering slow performance on any area of Q-Pulse, I'd recommend getting in touch with support to see if they can reproduce the issue.
As mentioned in this list of features (which is subject to change!), administrators can set up default templates and wizards for new users' launchpads. My understanding is that, should you upgrade to 5.6, these 'default' wizards and templates will only take effect when you add a new user to the system. This is so that you don't over-write individual users' current preferences.
Escalation is also mentioned in the above document

Is there a link between the Document module and IO module.
We need this feature for handling change management process through Q-Pulse. We would like to generate the reports using Occurrence module, which need to be routed through document module for approval of the change. Once approval is done, we would like to accept the occurrence and handle it through incident module for through various stages.
Or, is it possible to have approval process in IO module, like we have in document module?
Is similar features available in in version 5.6?
Pls let me know.
Just to clarify your request. Are you looking for formal Revision control (i.e approval, workflow, activation of the form etc..) on your designed Occurrence Forms?
It currently doesn't exist; however it is an area that we can consider for future development.
