Issues with the website and action taken

Below is a list of issues/bugs that people have identified and are on my "fix-list":

In "edit my profile", a user cannot enter a web address inot the website field. (fixed)
It seems that you have to put http:// before any web address entered.

When searching blogs and no results are found, 2 search fields and buttons are displayed.
Have asked for support on this problem.

One person has had difficulty sending an email to community@gaelquality.com
This is being investigated, but it seems to be a one-off case.

    Partners cannot access Partner-Zone (fixed)
    Permissions have been amended.

Incorrect message shown when posting a comment on a blog post.
    fixed 14/2/08

    Uploading A Photo

I was attempting to upload a photo (avatar).  I would browse, select the file, select to allow the picture to be used and then click update.  Nothing changed.  Not sure if I am doing something wrong.

     Thanks,

    Andrew

    Re: Uploading A Photo

I just tried myself. It didn't appear to work... then I tried again and it did, with a few different graphics.

Very strange - could you try it again? If it fails first time, try hitting update again.

Could you then report back to let me know if it's working?

    Thanks a lot.

I think you need the Save button.

Update is a bit confusing - presumably there to select a different file if you changed your mind about the first selection.

    You Have To Hit Save!!!!!!

The beauty of a community is the ability to admit publicly that you are an idiot.  Indeed, you were right Gary.  My apologies Daniel, I saw the 'update' button and thought that was all I needed.  As you can see, I have now figured this one out and proudly posted my picture on the site.  I am just glad I am not required to post my real persona.  I do not have a good picture of me and besides, this one is MUCH better looking than the real thing.

    Cheers,

    Darth Andrew

When writing a new post, sometimes I get the full text formatting toolbar (it's present at the moment) but mostly I get a plaintext memo with no toolbar and have to use html ie "<p></p>",  is this a known problem?

    Andy,

thanks for making me aware of this problem. It's not something I've noticed in my use of the Community. Is this problem only seen in the forums?  Also, what browser do you use? I know the text editing toolbar changes depending on which browser is used - for example, you can't change font in IE as far as I'm aware, but you can in Firefox.

    Thanks a lot,

Re: Issues with the website and action taken

    Hi Daniel,

The problem occurs in the forums (see attached "forum_pp.jpg") and I use IE6 under W2K.

It only seems to happen the first couple of times I post and once the toolbar appears, it seems to stick.  However you do see the plain version flash up briefly before the toolbar appears.

    Any thoughts?

    Andy
