After a long struggle I have finally got IT to agree to install QP5.6 on a proper server and push out the desktop client to all PCs. If we do this now, will the QP5.7 upgrade require us to update the clients?

Hi Andy,
Unfortunately the clients build requires to be the same build as the application server. This is a simple enough update if you are using the ClickOnce roll-out.
