It has been well recognised that labs are staffed by an ageing workforce and now we have a spate of retirements (early or otherwise). My issue is that I have a large number of documents assigned to staff (owners) who have recently left. What is regarded as the easiest way to deal with this problem?

Any advice on how best to control extract(s) of controlled documents. We frequently post a page from a standard operating procedure, laminated and sited at a work station e.g. a grid or ready reckoner from within the SOP.
