Neil has over twenty years experience in the aerospace industry, both in the Royal Air Force and more recently in the commercial sector. Trained initially as an aircraft dispatcher on both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft, his last appointment in the RAF was as Project Manager for their global asset tracking system, being responsible for over 40 sites on all continents. In this position he was responsible for ensuring that the interests of the RAF were represented with other key airlines using the system. Neil also has extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Quality Assurance, having held senior positions in these fields for the last ten years, as well as being an auditor of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems.
Neil also allows Burwood to offer his services in a consultancy role to other companies, specifically aimed at advising on the their Quality Management Systems and business processes.
Neil is also a full Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (MILT) and the Chartered Quality Institute (MCQI) as well as sitting on the Quality Assurance Council of the European Aviation Suppliers Organisation (EASO).
In September 2007, Neil was appointed Director of Burwood Fasteners, charged with the responsibility of restructuring the company to improve business processes and productivity, as well as implementing a strategy to allow for the continued future growth of the company.
